A New Addiction!

I am officially addicted to shooting swimmers! I was pretty nervous to try my photographic hand in the athletic realm seeing as how sports and I have never gotten along but WOW! I had so much fun shooting away at these adorable, super athletic girls!! I told my buddy Taryn, when she asked me to come and take some shots of her daughter, that I would probably only take about 15 minutes... 45 minutes into shooting she asked me if I was done because the girls needed to go get showered :0) I guess I was having so much fun I lost track of time! I was super happy when I got home and started flipping through my images. The light was beautiful, reflecting off of the water. The girls were up for posing and I was in heaven!! Be prepared for photo overload ;0)

The .T. Family

Wow, didn't realize how long it's been since I did a family shoot but it's been a while! I had a great time with this group the other night. They are SUCH sweet people, all of them! What can I say?! I was so flattered that Connie toughed out this shoot with an inner ear infection and despite the HEAVY rain that preceded our session... she just didn't want to post pone her photo session because her son is leaving to basic training soon. She badly wanted some pictures of him with the family to put up in her house and to have while he is gone. Connie, I truly hope these pictures captured your family right where you are all at right now. A complete family, no matter how far away any member is!

I think when I brought them over to the grungy loading dock instead of the flower beds they all thought I was crazy!

This next one was my VERY FAV of the session! Connie, you mother with such grace and kindness!

Thank you Darrin for willingly serving your country!

2010 Booking

2009 is booked up! Thanks to everyone for your support and I am REALLY looking forward to my busy fall and winter line up... it should be fun! If you are super bummed that I can't do your session sooner than next year I would be happy to add your name to my list of cancellation fill-ins. In the case of a cancellation for anything other than weather I will give the person at the top of the fill-in list a call and offer the session to them!

I am currently ready to book sessions through July 2010. Please let me know if you would like a session next year AND, most importantly, if you book this year for your session next year I will lock in the 2009 session fee for your shoot! In order to do that however, I need to have a date for your session on my books. So shoot me an email and I will send you the current schedule and you can choose your date or give me a ring and we'll book your session right away!

I have big things in the works for 2010 including an expanded product line (and revised pricing), a pro website and the continuation of the seasonal style guides! So stay tuned :0)

Thanks again!

Style Guides

I would not, certainly not consider myself a fashion guru but over the years I have experimented. From the pink stir-up sweat pants that helped me through middle school to the daring black fur bubble coat I once sported to impress a crush in high school to the now more refined tastes of my motherhood wardrobe my style has been anything but consistent. However, I do feel like I have an eye for a certain style in my photography and finally in my wardrobe :0) One of the most frequent questions I get when booking a session is "what should we wear?". So to help all of you out a little and to give you a sense of what might work for your family session I put together a couple of style guides. These are meant to give you some ideas on how to make your family look polished without giving up each member's unique style. Enjoy! Both style guides include clothing and accessories from www.oldnavy.com, www.gap.com and www.bodenusa.com .

Merit Accounting

When my good friend Tiffany set up a professional headshot shoot for her husband's business I thought to myself "this could be a good challenge!". I hadn't met the group at Merit financial but they sounded like a hard working bunch of unique and wonderful people. Well I got to meet them all last night and although they were not thrilled to be having their photos taken ( I get the sense they would have much rather been working!)they trooped along in the cold evening air following my lead and laughing with one another. Merit Accounting and Financial Services has over 30 years of experience and specializes in taxes, bookkeeping, payroll and Financial Advising with Retirement Planning. They are good people who work very hard and are commited to their clients so if you are in need of Accounting and you are in the Bay area check out Merit Accounting and Financial Services!
