The Reason for the Camera

Lincoln is by far my most inspiring subject. As his mom, I see many different sides of him and I know that he is capable of making about 3 million different faces. It is my goal to catch 'em all!

I tried a couple of new post processing actions for these last three. I loved how they turned out!

A Christmas Eve Shoot

I had the opportunity to do some photos for my good friend Rachel, again (I love it that she lets me practice on her and anyone around her!) and her whole family including her brother who is on break from the military. We shot at her Great Grandma's retirement home on Christmas eve morning and since my little family enjoyed a nice, calm relaxed Christmas at home it was nice to get out and do something for someone else on the eve of Christmas, a day that celebrates giving and most importantly God's gift of a savior. So with that here are some shots from our wonderful Christmas Eve!

The .D. Squad

These guys had me laughing SO hard it was hard to keep my camera going :0) Since they were such great subjects I decided to mix it up and refer to them as The .D. Squad because although they are an adorable family they brought some "umph" to this shoot that made them a force to be reckoned with! You'll have to keep your eye open for their little guy Gabe, let me tell ya' he has a future in the entertainment biz, for sure!! I had a LOT of favorites from this session so be prepared to keep on a'scrollin ;0)

This next story board just CRACKED me UP!!

Up next; a great game of "Red light, Green Light"

The .M. Family

Bill is another one of the pastors at the church I attend. He and his family do a lot for our community and serve in SO many aspects of our church's operations so doing this shoot was a wonderfully deserved break for them. One of the many reasons I love doing photography is beacuase it gives me a little glimpse into the inner workings of each family's core and this family ROCKS! They are so laid back, easy going, fun and real. Bill and Patty are amazing parents to these two teenagers and have two older boys that also contribute to our community above and beyond what our society expects. They are a success in parenting as far as I am concerned and be warned, Bill and Patty, you are on my list of people to take notes from :0) Thanks M fam for a great afternoon!!

The .Z. Family

Over the Thanksgiving weekend my sister in law and I were able to exchange family photo shoots, she did my family and I did hers. They are such a beautiful family that my job was not hard in the least. As long as I made sure they were in focus their "cuteness" and the wonderful way that they interact with each other did all the work for me!
