Steven {7 Weeks}

Today I had the pleasure of photographing sweet little Steven. He was about a month premature and so at right around seven weeks old (I think) he is still smaller than Lincoln was at birth! He is just so tiny, sweet and alert. He loves his grandma and she was able to get him to sleep in her arms but as soon as she went to put him down he woke right up and protested ;0) He was a trooper and let me try out my new knitted cocoons that I have been experimenting with but he was just not feeling them. Oh well, he still made for a great subject!

And for those of you interested in my baby cocoons and pods here is a peak at my product line and of my packaging as well as a shot of little Mr. Steven test driving the first cocoon I made;

I have since renamed the Edamame Pod the Sweet Pea pod for fear that Edamame might be too foreign a concept to many so just pretend the label says Sweet Pea instead of Edamame :0)

Here is my latest one and I think it is my favortite;

He'd just wiggle his way right out of it :0)

Chloe and Callie

I knew my friend Connie from the previous post on Corvin and Joan would have her two daughters in tow when she brought her hubby and family up for a mini session on Sunday and so I was prepared :0) In hopes that Chloe would love the camera, I set up an in home studio... A pulled hip muscle and a cardio work out later I arranged part of my couch and some accessories in between my two kitchen windows, draped a blanket across the corner and made a reflector from a nasty old piece of foam board and some foil. You never know what you going to get with a fourth light shoot ;0) But I was right, Chloe LOVES the camera!! And she volunteered to be my guinea pig anytime, saying as she jumped in the car "Call me!". She is SO funny!! Her little sis Callie wasn't quite as fond of the camera but I have some ideas for her next time we meet :0) My dog Echo is involved! Here are a couple that I snagged of these two beautiful girls.

Corvin and Joan

My good friend asked me last Wednesday if I could just do a couple shots of her hubby and his mom this past Sunday and of course I jumped at the chance to have adult subjects who would, in all likelihood sit still, take direction and let me play a bit! Not that children don't let me work out my creativity in a totally different way {which I love!} but since I haven't done many shoots for the past couple of months or so I was elated to get some good solid practice in. The family pulled into the drive way and little did I know that I would have an audience, nine people jumped out of three cars! I was a little surprised but this family, even the ones I had just met, were super comfortable people. It was great to meet you all!!

These last couple include Corvin's two daughters. Stay tuned for a post all about these two!

Lucas {3 Months}

Lucas is so lovable! He is the first son of one of my very good friends from college and this was our first meeting. His momma Tiffany, is a very laid back, easy going kinda' gal and she passed that along to Lucas along with some of her good looks. So have a peak at the adorable Mr. Lucas;

Essa {Senior Session}

Essa is the sweetest, most easy going Brazilian foreign exchange student I have ever met... well she is the only Brazilian foreign exchange student I have ever met but she is still so sweet and so laid back. I got to do her shoot with two other amazing photographers and Essa was up for everything and anything that they could throw at her. She was an amazing model and perfect subject for what ended up being the longest shoot I have ever done! I hope the pictures are worth all of her hard work!! This shoot is sure to make a great story for her to tell her family back in Brazil :0) Thanks Essa for being our model for the day!!
